Booq Boa Courier 13 review
Expensive and not much room for documents, but it’s comfortable and has a good amount of padding
The Booq Boa Courier 13 is a laptop bag that can be carried in a variety of ways, most notably by strapping it over your shoulder and under your armpit so that’s held diagonally across your back. This could be a convenient way of carrying it if you’re cycling, for example.
You can also carry it on your shoulder or use the carry handle, the latter being very useful if you just want to move it short distances such as across your office. We think the Graphite version we reviewed looks good in a modest, conservative way.
The Boa Courier 13 is designed to carry 13in laptops such as the MacBook Pro, and it has a well-padded laptop compartment that can be closed off with a Velcro strap, as well as a general compartment for items such as the laptop’s power adaptor and other accessories. There are also padded pouches for items such as mobile phones, pens and USB drives. Documents can be kept in a zipped pouch at the front of the bag and an unlocked pouch at the rear, but there isn’t that much room for them.
We found the Boa Courier 13 comfortable, especially thanks to its long shoulder pad, and we also like the various compartments within it. The Boa Courier 13 felt a little bulky at first, but this was mostly because our usual bag has little padding and we got used to it. We think it’s a little expensive, but good nonetheless.
