Get a Huawei phone, fitness tracker, tablet and set of headphones for under £500
Huawei for good bargains
John Lewis has an interesting offer on at the moment. If you spend over £500 on two or more Huawei products, you can get £75 off your order by entering the code HUAWEI75 at checkout.
You can browse the full list of eligible devices here; as you can see, it covers a broad range of products from phones and tablets to earphones and fitness trackers.
There are a number of ways to hit £500, but most of those involve a phone of some kind. The P30 and P30 Pro take you over from the get-go, but the P30 Lite and P Smart 2019 edition are both also decent at £229.95 and £159.95 respectively.
In terms of wearables, both the Watch GT 2 series and the Huawei Band 3 Pro both come recommended. The former has an incredible battery life and an all-round excellent smartwatch performance, while the latter is only £50 – not bad at all for a fitness tracker with built-in GPS. The £150 FreeBuds 3 are also decent AirPod alternatives, though there are better options available.
Still: mix, match and see what you come up with. Here’s one possible option if you want to go all-in on Huawei:
-£75 discount
= £464.92
Not bad for four products.
Of course, there are still reasons to steer clear of Huawei while its ability to trade with American companies remains in the balance. The trade embargo shouldn’t affect existing products like these, which still have the trappings of Android that you’d expect (the Play Store, YouTube, Gmail, Maps and so on) but that may not always be the case.
This is less of an issue for wearables and earphones of course, but if you fancy adding a tablet or phone to your bundle, then it’s something to bear in mind.
