Get FREE Spotify Premium for six months with select products at Currys PC World
Fancy bagging half a year of ad-free Spotify? All you need to do is spend more than £49 on selected products
Currys PC World has launched an offer that music fans will not want to miss. If you’ve been strenuously resisting the temptation to shell out on a monthly Spotify subscription but are sick of your playlists being interrupted by adverts on the free version, then your self-control may just have paid off. Now’s your chance to bag a six-month subscription free of charge – and save yourself £59.94 in the process.
Right now, Currys PC World is offering six months of Spotify Premium for free with a qualifying purchase across a wide range of tech products. The blurb on every relevant product page suggests that the offer is valid on any laptop, video game, games console, tablet, smart TV, smart home, smartwatch or audio product which costs over £49. So if you choose carefully, you’ll be getting more than your money’s worth.
Sadly, there are some rather annoying exclusions: Apple and Beats products aren’t part of the promotion. But if you’re in the market for anything from a PS4 to Fifa 20 to a Fitbit Versa to a Google Home smart speaker, the added Spotify subscription definitely sweetens the deal.
Do I get my free Spotify subscription right away?
Not quite. Once you’ve bought your product of choice, you’ll be sent an email from Currys PC World with a redemption code within a fortnight of your purchase. Take that code over to Spotify’s redemption page, tap it in and voila: six months of Spotify Premium is yours, for absolutely zilch. You can wave goodbye to adverts and shuffle-only streaming on your mobile for the duration.
One thing to also consider is that this deal is only open to new Spotify customers. If you’re already paying for Spotify’s Premium service, you can’t use this to dodge paying for six months, sadly. Although that’s hardly an issue: you could just set up another Spotify account, obviously!
