Xiaomi sale: You can save up to 40% off products in the three-day Mi Festival 2019 sale

The Chinese tech company is bringing the Mi Festival back - and there are plenty of incredible savings to be had

There was a time when the word ‘festival’ might just make you think of music, stages, wellies, portaloos and copious amounts of mud. But the savvy marketing types at Xiaomi are clearly trying to redefine the term, in the form of a four-day flash sale dubbed the Mi Festival, which runs from 4 to 6 April.

Actually, Xiaomi has been hosting festival since 2016, each year has offered a range of deals and discounts to its fans. The 2019 edition is no different: if you head to the Mi Festival landing page, you’ll discover all sorts of discounts on Xiaomi’s products.

The price drop we’re most excited about is that of the Mi Pocophone F1, whose praises we sang in our full review due to the surprising level of horsepower it offered (its 2.8GHz Snapdragon 845 is one used in many flagships on the market). It’s on sale for £349, but has dropped to just £249. The Redmi Note 6 Pro has been reduced from £219 to £149: a great choice if you’re looking for a budget-priced handset.

On the wearables front, the Xiaomi Band 3 has gone from being cheap to super-cheap – it was £27, but during the festival’s duration is just £20. Given that absurd price tag, it offers an awful lot. Through its OLED display, you can receive WhatsApp messages, check Facebook and check your heartrate, step count and sleep quality.

We’re kind of getting on board with this new spin on the meaning of ‘festival’ – there’s certainly cause for celebration here. But don’t forget: the party ends on 6 April.
