What’s better than an Amazon Echo? Why, a free Amazon Echo, of course!
Yes, you read the headline correctly. BT is currently offering TV and broadband packages with a 2nd Gen Amazon Echo (worth £90) thrown in on the house. The catch? You only have until the end of the day on Thursday 21 February to take advantage of this deal, according to the numerous countdown graphics on BT’s website.
There are three bundle variations to choose from. The Classic Bundle will set you back an initial £40 fee, and will then cost £40 per month for 18 months, at which point the price will rise to £48 per month. Don’t despair, though, line rental is included in the price throughout.
For that money, you’ll get Freeview TV (including AMC – exclusive to BT – for any Walking Dead fans), BT Sport and fibre broadband with quoted speeds of 36Mb/s alongside your shiny new Amazon Echo.
The Entertainment Bundle has the same upfront fee, but will cost you £45 per month for 18 months, and £53 per month after that. It’s largely the same as the classic bundle, but you’ll get extra premium channels such as National Geographic, E!, Comedy Central and more included in the price.
Lastly, the Max HD Bundle is only £30 upfront, then £50 per month for 18 months, and £58 per month thereafter. You’ll get everything in the Entertainment Bundle and more, which amounts to 62 extra premium channels (including HD), as well as 10 dedicated kids’ channels.
If the packages on their own aren’t enough to sway you, then perhaps the free Amazon Echo will.
