iPad price increase: Beat the price hike and buy an Apple iPad for cheaper with these huge discounts
Act fast and take advantage of lower prices for iPads before they rocket up
In a disappointing move, Apple announced a huge price increase across a number of iPad models, but if you act fast you might be able to beat the newly inflated RRP. Technically discounted – although the price didn’t technically drop – some UK retailers are still listing the original prices for the iPad mini, iPad Air and ninth-generation iPad, albeit for a limited time.
This means you can save yourself up to £170 if you buy right now. If you’ve been considering purchasing any one of these iPad models, this will likely be your last chance to pay the significantly lower original prices before all retailers inevitably implement the new increases currently listed on Apple’s storefront.
Apple iPad mini (2021) – save up to £170
As it stands, the 64GB iPad mini will now cost you £569 on the Apple website, but you can still grab it for just £459 at John Lewis. That amounts to a whopping saving of £110.
Meanwhile, the 256GB iPad mini is still listed at £599 – an even bigger £150 saving.
If you’re after the cellular versions, you’ll have to pay a bit more for the privilege. The 64GB model with SIM compatibility costs £619 (saving £130) and the 128GB version is priced at £759 (saving £170).
Apple iPad Air (2022) – save up to £160
It’s a similarly impressive £100 saving on the 64GB iPad Air 2022, which can still be had on Amazon and John Lewis for £569, but will currently cost you £669 on the Apple website.
The 256GB iPad Air is also still listed at its original price of £719, a huge saving of £130 compared to the newly inflated price.
As is the case with the iPad mini, the cellular model of the iPad Air is also still going for launch price. The 64GB model with 4G is priced at £719 (£130 saving) and the 256GB variant is £869 (£160 saving).
