Get a Kindle Paperwhite for less than £100
The latest e-reader is cheaper for the next few days thanks to Amazon's springtime bonanza
Amazon isn’t the sort of retailer to miss an opportunity for a sale – and what better reason than the coming of spring? It should come as no surprise that amongst the products on sale are many of the company’s own devices, including the Fire 8 HD (was £80, now £60), the kids’ edition (was £130, now £100), the Echo Plus (was £140, now £110) – and the Kindle Paperwhite, which has dropped by £20 to just under £100.
The latest addition to the Paperwhite canon earned a glowing verdict from us when it was launched last year. As you can read in our full review of the Kindle Paperwhite, we called out all sorts of things, including its alluring, bezel-flushed design, the smooth reading experience it offers, and the all-new compatibility with Audible (hitherto only offered by the much pricier Kindle Oasis). Oh, and it’s waterproof – which is good to know if you happen to be a fan of reading in the bath. Rejoice, bookworms: no more crinkled book pages!
Perhaps the thing that we really liked about the new Paperwhite on its release was that highly competitive RRP of £120: despite the array of new features, it was just £10 more costly than its 2015 predecessor. So if you want to move into the world of e-reading – or you already have but want to add audiobook listening to your device’s repertoire, then head over to Amazon.
