Kindle Paperwhite massively discounted in Amazon sales
Now's a good opportunity to pick up Amazon's newest Kindle Paperwhite
Literary lovebirds, rejoice! As part of its Valentine’s Day sale, Amazon has dropped the price of its all-new Kindle Paperwhite.
You can read our five-star review of the Kindle Paperwhite for a detailed lowdown, but in a nutshell, we were mighty impressed by the fourth-generation Paperwhite e-reader. Not only does the internal storage allow you to carry a library of anywhere between 2,000 and 8,000 books in your rucksack, but it comes with two major improvements on its predecessor. Firstly, it’s finally waterproof, which means you’ve now got poolside holiday reading sorted without the stress. Even more excitingly the new Paperwhite now supports audiobooks from Audible, so it’s got you covered if you prefer your books delivered via headphones on your morning commute.
The 8GB model has dropped from £120 to £100, while the 32GB model is now £130, down from £150. These are both great discounts for a device that was only launched a few months ago. If e-readers aren’t your thing, there are other gems to look out for in Amazon’s Valentine’s sale, such as a discount on the Fire HD 10 tablet (was £150, now £110) and the Fire HD 8 tablet is now £60 – although you can still pick up the marine blue version at Argos for just £53. If you’re also on the hunt for a smart speaker, the second-gen Amazon Echo has dropped from £90 to £70, and the Amazon Echo Spot is now only £100.
Amazon’s Valentine’s Day sale finishes at the end of February 13. That should give you plenty of time to get your present sorted for your significant other.
