1. Impact Weight Gainer (Was £20; now £13)
Featuring on our best protein for muscle gain round-up, we singled out this mass gainer for its value for money and effectiveness. While we liked it at its full price of £20/kg, it’s now even better value, dropping down to just £13/kg in MyProtein’s January sale. Aside from its attractive price, it also offers 31.4g of protein, 50g of carbs and 388 calories per serving, i.e. everything you need to build yourself up after an intense workout. Its blend of whey and casein offers a good balance of instant and slow-release protein, while maltodextrin and oats offer the same balance in terms of carbohydrates.
2. MyVegan Clear Vegan Powder (Was £25; now £16)
Also making it onto our protein powder round-up, this vegan option from MyProtein stood out to us due to its pleasantness to drink. Protein powders on the whole can be a bit thick and stodgy, with limited flavour options beyond vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, so this lighter textured drink that offers fresh flavours, such as Pineapple & Grapefruit, Blood Orange and Raspberry Mojito, is a welcome change of pace.
The 10g of protein per 16g serving is derived from pea isolate, with each serving also containing a range of vitamins, including half your daily recommended intake of B12. Normally £25, you can currently pick up 20 servings for just £16.
3. Impact Whey Protein (Was £12; now £7)
One of its most popular products, MyProtein’s Impact Whey Powder is an excellent supplement for muscle building, packing in 21g of protein into its low-cal blend. The powder also comes in a huge variety of flavours, including Red Bean, Tiramisu, Chocolate Orange, Mango, Maple Syrup, Hojicha and many more. Ordinarily £12 per 250g bag, you can now snag some for just £7. If you’d prefer to buy in bulk for bulking up, you can currently secure a 2.5kg bag for only £54, down from £92.
4. Protein Meal Replacement Shake (Was £15; now £9.43)
If you’re looking to lose weight rather than build mass, meal replacement shakes can be a handy tool to help you reach your goals. MyProtein’s low-cal Meal Replacement Shake is one of our favourites options, containing 18g of protein, 17g of carbs and 200kcal per 51g serving, as well as 4.1g of fibre and a plethora of vitamins and minerals, including half your daily iron intake. Available in two tasty flavours, vanilla and salted caramel, a 500g bag is now just £9.43, down from £15.
5. Protein Meal Replacement Bars (Was £25; now £13)
If you’d prefer to stick to solids for your meal replacements, a meal replacement bar can be a handy alternative to shakes. Great for training and muscle-building thanks to their 22g of protein, these bars have an extensive ingredients list, which includes 27 vitamins and minerals such as zinc, calcium, folic acid and vitamins A, C and K.
According to MyProtein’s marketing blurb, Vitamin A, in particular, is important for maintaining a healthy immune system, which is always something to keep an eye on when undergoing weight loss. Boasting a newly improved taste and texture, these bars come in in salted caramel and choc fudge flavours, and are now available for just £13 for a box of twelve.
6. Slow-release Casein (Was £40; now £20)
Our favourite casein protein powder on our protein powder round-up, this offering from MyProtein is your best bet if you’re looking for a slow-release powder to take between meals or before bed.
Encouraging growth, the 24g of slow-release casein in each serving delivers your body a steady stream of amino acids in the hours after consumption. Ordinarily £40, a 1kg bag is currently starkly discounted, down by 50% to just £20, coming in a wide variety of interesting flavours, including Hokkaido Milk, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Matcha Latte, Iced Latte, as well as Unflavoured.
