Amazon Prime Day is here, and with it are a whole bunch of deals across a range of categories and brands – including Garmin. And right now, you can save up to 33% on Garmin GPS smartwatches as part of Amazon’s big event.
You’re certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to Garmin’s range of wearables, but what do the discounts look like? Read on for our picks of the best deals you can get your (digital) hands on this Prime Day. Act fast, though, because these will expire come midnight on the 14 October. And a quick reminder to make sure you’re signed up to Amazon Prime, as the Prime Day deals are only available to Prime members – the clue is in the name. Garmin Vivoactive 3 (was £142, now £123)
The Vivoactive 3 is still the best value Garmin watch you can buy, and it’s now down to its lowest ever price at just £123 (with the gunmetal model reduced from £160 to £125). Although it’s since been superseded by the Vivoactive 4 (offering additional features such as music playback), it’s still a fantastic watch and made it onto our best smartwatches roundup as the best-value option. Despite such an affordable price tag, it has a lot of features with which you can track your exercise, both indoor and outdoor – all the while maintaining solid seven-day battery life.
Garmin Fenix 6 (was £530, now £356)
You’ll find the heftiest price cut on the Fenix 6. One of the best Garmin watches you can buy, it’s reduced from £530 to £356. That’s a record low price on Amazon. The Fenix 6 has an impressive selection of features, including a number of sports apps, performance metrics, safety tracking and extensive navigation support beyond regular GPS.
Rather confusingly, there are a total of 19 watches in the Fenix 6 range; Amazon is offering discounts on the standard model as well as the smaller Fenix 6S (also down to just £356). More advanced models of the Fenix 6, such as the Fenix 6 Pro, go one step further by offering full colour maps, but don’t be discouraged – with a total saving of £174, this is still a great deal.
Garmin Forerunner 35 (was £106, now £80)
Usually priced at around the £100 mark, the Garmin Forerunner 35 watch has five workout modes and fitness tracking that won’t eat through your battery life. It’s uncluttered and pretty stripped back on other features, so it’s a perfect budget option for the training athlete. Take a further £25 off the price tag, and it’s a no-brainer.
Garmin Forerunner 45 (Was £170, now £110)
The Garmin Forerunner 45 manages to expand on the features of its predecessor (above) without foregoing its position as an entry-level budget sports watch. The 45S is a little bit smaller and lighter, with a 39mm case instead of a 42mm case, but sports tracking remains the same – with great running features, Body Battery, and a sleep tracker.
If you’re after an upgrade on the 35 without breaking the bank, the Forerunner 45 is the one for you. And what’s more: you can now get it for £60 less during the Prime Day sales.
Garmin Vivomove 3 (was £220, now £150)
We were initially sceptical about why you should pay more for the Vivomove 3 when the Vivomove HR was a near-perfect hybrid smartwatch for about £50 less. But with a discount of 32%, it’s hard to say no. Its hidden touchscreen display looks fantastic, while still offering fitness tracking and smartphone-compatible notifications for texts and emails.
Garmin Instinct (was £220, now £170)
With MIL-STD build quality and breadcrumb navigation, the Instinct is the perfect choice for the more adventurous smartwatch user. It comes with fitness tracking, global navigation satellite systems, TracBack features that allow you to navigate your route, and decent 14-day battery life.
Compared to Garmin’s similarly sports-orientated Fenix range at twice the price, the Instinct was great value to begin with. Now that the price of the watch has been cut by 22%, it’s a steal at just £170.
