The Surface Pro 7 is an absolute STEAL this Prime Day

Nab the Microsoft Surface 2-in-1 at an unprecedentedly low price this Prime Day

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 that we’ve long sung the praises of. In fact, we dubbed it the best implementation of a detachable tablet/laptop hybrid we’ve seen. And with good reason. Its large 12.3in screen is positively cinematic (read: ample for a 2-in-1), while its integrated kickstand makes for easy, comfortable viewing at whatever angle you might be slumped at (it’s been a long 16 months, okay?)

Now shoppers can get a whopping 25% off the Surface Pro 7 this Prime Day, bringing it down to a previously unheard of £599. That’s a pretty unbeatable price for a 2-in-1 of this spec, saving you £200 on its full £799 price tag. A quick check-in with our favourite price comparison tool, Camel Camel Camel, tells us that the average retail price for a Surface Pro 7 is £761, confirming this deal is not to be sniffed at.

As ever, you shouldn’t be sold on price alone. The Surface Pro 7 has a lot to recommend it. Its design, though ultimately unchanged over several years, is both polished and tried-and-tested; if you’re looking for a laptop that genuinely doubles as a tablet, the Surface Pro 7 is one of the best concocted hybrids we’ve encountered. For example, its 3:2 aspect ratio makes it comfortable to work on – more so than on 16:9 displays that have become du jour on flagship ultraportables.

Speaking of ultraportables, this one does what it says on the tin: the tablet on its own (without the separately purchased detachable keyboard) weighs a mere 775g. Added nice-to-haves include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel Windows Hello authentication camera on the front, making for seamless opening.

While you do have to purchase the (near-essential) Type Cover separately, it’s a lot cheaper than the iPad Pro’s equivalent, and you can even purchase third-party keyboards from around £40.

There you have it, a robust four-star 2-in-1 laptop tablet hybrid that lends itself well to work and leisure. Whether you’re commuting to the office or mainlining Netflix shows horizontally, the handy kickstand cements this ultraportable as one to snap up. Now at its cheapest ever price in the Amazon Prime Day sale.
