Fractal Design Arc XL, Arc Mini 2 launched at Computex
Fractal Design has added two new cases to its water-cooling friendly Arc line-up - the oversized Arc XL and compact Arc Mini 2
Fractal Design has extended its Arc PC case range with two new models designed to support even the most extreme PC components – the Arc XL and Arc Mini 2.
The Arc XL is the larger of the two – it has space for a triple-120mm fan radiator at the top of the case and a removable drive cage to make room for a second dual-120mm radiator at the front. SSD mounts are included on the back of the motherboard tray, so you still have somewhere to sick your storage.
It keeps the same signature minimal styling as the rest of the Arc range, along with toolless entry, plenty of motherboard cable management and removable air filters to keep dust and dirt out of the case. It also comes with an integrated fan controller, letting you choose between cooling and silence.
The Arc Mini 2, meanwhile, enters the range at the opposite end of the size spectrum. It’s a micro-ATX case that still has room for both top-mounted and front-mounted radiators thanks to removable drive bays. The roof mount is offset to make room for the motherboard, keeping the case as compact as possible, and it again includes SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard.
Also on display was a newly announced white edition of the Node 304 Mini-ITX chassis. Unlike the original black design, which had a brushed metal effect finish, the white version has a glossy appearance that makes it rather eye-catching. Inside, it retains the same layout, with room for standard ATX power supplies, twin expansion slots and a 140mm rear fan.
Fractal expects all three new cases to go on sale in the next month or two, with the Arc Mini 2 likely to cost £69.99, although pricing has yet to be confirmed for the Arc XL.
