O2 now selling phone contracts through Amazon UK
O2 pay monthly contracts available through Amazon UK with deals for over 90 handsets including the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5
Amazon UK is now stocking O2 contract phones with handsets such as the HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z3 all available. Prices start at £13 per month with all contracts sold on O2 through Amazon lasting 24 months.
Just over 90 handsets are available on contract through Amazon’s new pay monthly phone store. The HTC One M8 is available for £28 per month with unlimited texts and minutes, 1GB of data and no upfront cost.
The deals available through Amazon are different to those sold directly by O2, with different handsets also on offer. The Huawei Ascend P7, not sold directly by O2, is available from O2 via Amazon.
Both new and existing customers can shop for O2 handsets on Amazon, with upgrade deals also available. Amazon’s Fire Phone is also being sold on O2 via the store, with contracts starting at £28 per month with no upfront cost. Both 3G and 4G plans are included with add-ons such as international calling also available.
“We’ve taken our years of experience selling mobile phones on Amazon.co.uk to make it as fast and easy as possible for customers to purchase a new pay monthly phone or upgrade an existing contract,” said Xavier Garambois, vice president of EU retail at Amazon.
“We’re focused on helping customers choose the right phone, at the right price, with fast delivery and are celebrating the launch with a host of great value deals.”
Only O2 contracts are available at present and it isn’t clear if other networks such as EE and Vodafone will be added in the future.
