Solwise PL-200AV-PEW-N review
Simple to set up and capable of high speeds, the PL-200AV-PEW-N is the best way to get network access far from your router
The adaptor’s settings give you basic QoS controls – a choice between Gaming, Audio & Video or Voice over IP – and a MAC address filter to limit who can connect to the network. There’s no firewall or more advanced routing features, but these will be taken care of by your main router.
Buying the PL-200AV-PEW-N and NET-PL-200-AV-PUSH together will set you back £82, which is cheaper than powerline networking rivals such as the Devolo dLAN 200AV Wireless N kit (about £90) and the Billion BiPAC P106N (£87). The PL-200AV-PEW-N doesn’t offer any more features than these products, but it’s easy to set up and has faster wired and wireless speeds, so it wins a Best Buy award.
