The QuickBooks Online Google and iOS apps don’t provide the same level of functionality as the web interface, which will disappoint those who’d like to run their entire business from a tablet, but they do include the critical features you need when working away from the office. We tested QuickBooks Essentials, which costs £19 per month. The most basic package, Simple Start, has fewer features, costs £9 per month and is best suited to partnerships and sole traders, while the £29 per month Plus version adds stock tracking features and provides time logging features for your staff. QuickBooks is a powerful and effective accounts service, and with a few tweaks to its layout and improved mobile apps, it could be a future Expert Reviews award winner.
