The 17in screen sets the VR705 apart. However, the mediocre keyboard and touchpad mean it's not the perfect all-rounder.
The Wind is impressive thanks to its long battery life and bright screen, but it's very expensive and cheaper netbooks have similar battery life.
Its new graphics chipset isn't anything to get excited about, and there far are better desktop replacements at a similar price.
A reasonably priced AMD motherboard with built-in graphics, but it does cost more than equivalent AM2+ boards.
An attractive PC with Draft-N WiFi. It's expensive, though; unless you really want a touchscreen, better-value nettops are available
