Motorola Moto G smartphone revealed ahead of 13 November launch in leaked images
Motorola's Moto G smartphone has broken cover ahead of its official reveal expected on the 13th of November, in leaked press images
The Moto G, Motorola’s mid-range smartphone which is due to be officially revealed on the 13th of November, may have broken cover a week early thanks to prolific tweeter @evleaks. Official looking press images show the phone in a choice of colours, with clear design influences from the US-only Moto X.
Rumoured to be launching for a very reasonable £135 off-contract, the Moto G looks set to have a 4.5in, 720p resolution display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and 8GB of internal storage. Unsurprisingly for the price, Motorola may skimp on features like the camera, which is expected to use a mid-range 5-megapixel sensor on the back and a 1.3-megapixel sensor for the front webcam. Other potential specifications include a 1,950mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.0.
It will almost definitely ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but an upgrade to 4.4 KitKat hopefully won’t be too far in the future.
Anyone hoping for a Moto X-matching handset for the UK may be disappointed, then, but we’ll have to wait until the official reveal on the 13th of November to find out whether the rumours were accurate. We’ll be there to bring you the news as we get it.
