One of the more promising phones released this year, the Honor 70 caught our attention due to its sleek design for a mid-range phone, with our full-length Honor 70 review also praising its solid performance capabilities and excellent battery life. Our one issue with the Honor 70, as with most things, was that we felt it could’ve provided a little more bang for your buck – and now, thankfully, it does.
With the current bundle deal Honor is offering, you can fully kit yourself out with just one £480 purchase. Buy a crystal silver coloured Honor 70 now and you’ll receive two free gifts: the Honor Band 6 and a pair of wireless Honor Earbuds 2 Lite. Ordinarily, the phone alone would cost £480, with the fitness tracker and earbuds having listed RRPs of £45 and £70 respectively, for a total of £595. With £115 in freebies and a rock-solid new 128GB smartphone on the table, this deal is a hard one walk away from.
Upon launch last summer, the Honor 70 turned heads with its slim and elegant design. It looks more like a high-end flagship model, but comes in at a distinctly mid-range price point. Of course, we know that looks aren’t everything: aside from being easy on the eyes, the Honor 70 is also notable for being the first phone to use Sony’s new 54MP IMX800 wide sensor, with the dual camera set-up allowing it to capture colourful, bright, highly-detailed snaps. Combine that with solid performance from the phone’s Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset, a nicely put together 6.67in FHD+ 120Hz OLED display and nippy 66W charging (with the phone’s battery life clocking in at over 21hrs) and you’ve got yourself a highly respectable handset.
Now, onto the freebies. Our original Honor Band 6 review was a little mixed. The smartwatch-like design is one of the most aesthetically pleasing we’ve seen in a fitness tracker, the standard fitness tracker features are all present and well-implemented, the battery life is monstrous at 14 days, and the Honor Band 6’s sleep tracking is the most in-depth and intuitive we’ve come across. However, the tracker’s GPS connectivity issues with certain Android phones had to be noted, and dragged down its rating significantly. Happily for purchasers of this bundle though, the Honor Band 6, being part of the same family, has no such issues when used with the Honor 70 – just be wary if you’re planning on using it with another Android Device.
Finally, the Honor Earbuds 2 Lite bring wireless ANC, 32 hours of battery life and a small-but-powerful 10mm sound driver, along with smartly designed controls for music listening, gaming and phone calls. Basically, they have everything you’d need in a pair of headphones.
