The Samsung Galaxy A52 is now at its lowest EVER price
Amazon has reduced the 128GB Samsung Galaxy A52 smartphone to its lowest price at £324
The Galaxy A52, our top mid-range Samsung smartphone, is now just £324 for the 128GB version, having plummeted over £60 this month. That’s the lowest price this phenomenal phone has ever been on the site.
Samsung’s A-series is aimed at those looking for value for money and the formula is spot-on here: a silky 120Hz display, speedy performance, 128GB storage and superb set of cameras meant it was garlanded with five stars in our rave review.
Despite being less than half the price of Samsung’s Galaxy S21 flagship, the Galaxy A52 boasts a bright, accurate and, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, extra-fluid 6.5in Super AMOLED screen. It’s a thing of beauty, with an unassuming hole-punch selfie camera at the top and an in-display fingerprint reader at the bottom.
The rest of the design isn’t quite as swish, but the rear is crafted from soft plastic and it’s IP67-rated for protection against water and dust. People with a treasured pair of headphones will be happy to see an old-school 3.5mm jack too, with USB-C on hand for charging.
However, it’s the performance where the Galaxy A52 really shines: the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 processor inside is a huge step up from its predecessor and means the phone is faster than many of its rivals. Thanks to the Adreno 619 GPU, gaming frame rates are similarly impressive and matched those of, for instance, the Google Pixel 4a and OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Its 18hrs 23mins battery life is also in line with the Android competition – and nearly seven hours longer than that of the iPhone SE.
The cameras are excellent: you get a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP depth-sensing and 5MP macro camera, which produced snaps packed with detail and quality, even in low light. In fact, it even holds its own against the Pixel 4a, a mid-range photography supremo, and actually is more versatile than that one-lens phone.
The main downside of this version of the Galaxy A52 is that it’s 4G, rather than 5G. Still, when the rest of the phone is this good, that’s unlikely to be a deal-breaker, especially if you don’t live in a town.
The 5G model of the Samsung Galaxy A52 was £399 when we reviewed it and still sells for £388 so, if you’re happy with 4G, this rock-bottom price is an exceptional deal. It’s the same phone in every other respect – just for £64 less.
