Get the Moto G8 Power Lite for £50 less this Black Friday with Giffgaff
Motorola’s cheapest budget smartphone just got even cheaper
Motorola’s Moto G8 Power Lite is the most affordable member of the Moto G8 family of budget smartphones. And right now it’s even cheaper in Giffgaff’s Black Friday sale. Indeed, the Moto G8 Power Lite can be yours for a bargain price of just £99.
The one caveat is that you’ll have to buy a Giffgaff SIM alongside it. The cheapest of these is £10 for 6GB of data, unlimited texts and calls – a monthly cost that you can cancel anytime.
Nevertheless, that’s still a great deal, and it’s worth pointing out that it’s more affordable than Amazon’s Black Friday deal, which offers the Moto G8 Power Lite for £119 (down from £150).
£99 is certainly a good price, but would we recommend the phone itself? Well, if you’re after a smartphone to meet a tight budget, you could do much worse. In fact, we gave it four stars in our review.
The G8 Power Lite is simply a less well-specced version of the Motorola Moto G8 Power (a budget smartphone, which we also gave a favourable review). It has an impressive camera setup and boasts longevity when it comes to battery life – it lasted just over 20 hours on a single charge when we tested it.
When it comes to power and performance, the G8 Power Lite is somewhat let down by its weak Mediatek MT6765 P35 processor. In this respect, you’re perhaps better off with the original Moto G8, which is also discounted for Black Friday – down from £180 to £140 on Amazon.
That said, if you’re after more affordable prices this Black Friday, a £50 reduction on the Moto G8 Power Lite is very tempting indeed.
