HTC Desire 320 unveiled at CES 2015

HTC has announced the latest addition to its entry-level range of 3G Desire smartphones. Weighing 145g and measuring 10.5mm thick, the Desire 320 has a tiny 4.5in 854×480 resolution screen and will be powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6582M processor and 1GB of RAM.

You’ll get 8GB of onboard storage, but you’ll be able to expand this with a microSD card for up to 32GB of additional space. The phone also has a 5-megapixel camera on the back of the handset and HTC’s Video Highlights feature is built-in, letting you make mini movies with your favourite photos and videos in an instant. You can even select your own backing track from music stored on your phone’s internal storage.

Naturally, HTC’s social media aggregator BlinkFeed will also make an appearance, which collates all your latest news and social media updates into one handy place. You can also now save articles for reading offline by downloading them to your phone and adding them to your reading list when you’re connected to Wi-Fi. However, rather than coming with Android 5.0 as standard, the Desire 320 will run Android 4.4.

“Following on from the success of the HTC Desire 310, it boasts enhanced power and memory to enable more people to benefit from a quality smartphone experience that delivers the perfect balance between smart essentials and value.”

The phone will be available in vanilla white and dark grey, but UK pricing and availability will be announced at a later date, the company said. However, given its budget leanings, we wouldn’t expect it to cost much more than £150 SIM-free. We’ll bring you all the latest as it’s confirmed.
