Amazon Fire TV Stick now just £19.99 in Black Friday deal
The Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick Lite and Fire TV Stick 4K are around a third cheaper in Amazon Black Friday deal
Considering almost all of Amazon’s other devices are currently on sale in its Black Friday sale, we’ve been waiting to see when the Fire TV Stick would be reduced – and the offer is now live.
Until 30 November, you can get the 2020 Amazon Fire TV Stick, as well as the brand-new Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, for around a third cheaper.
The cheaper of the two is the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite.
Launched last month, it’s the most affordable way to add an Amazon media streamer to your TV. It streams in Full HD and has Alexa voice controls built-in.
It also comes with thousands of apps, Alexa skills and channels — including BBC iPlayer, Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, ITV, All 4, My5 and more. Access to these will depend on which services you already subscribe to.
The downside, and the reason why it’s cheaper than its sibling, is that it doesn’t double up as a regular TV control. The Fire TV Stick Lite usually costs £30 but you can get it for £20 for a limited time.
The 2020 release of the regular Fire TV Stick is also on sale.
For £25, down from £40, this latest generation streamer is 50% more powerful than the previous-generation 2019 Fire TV Stick. It streams in Full HD and is an Alexa voice remote with power and volume buttons. You can also control the power and volume on your compatible TV and soundbar without needing another remote.
Elsewhere, it has home cinema audio support for Dolby Atmos, the same apps as the Lite version and live TV.
Next up, in terms of price, is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K Ultra HD. It has all the features of the Lite and regular version but the key difference is that it streams in 4K.
This usually costs £50 but is on sale for £30. It’s currently out of stock until 28 November, though (at the time of writing).
And, finally, the Amazon Fire TV Cube is also on sale. Amazon has knocked £40 off the price, bringing it down to just £70 – or five monthly payments of £14 if you prefer.
For the extra money, you get a 4K TV streamer with built-in apps for Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer and plenty more. It’s also a dedicated Amazon Echo smart speaker and acts as a universal remote. That means not only can it do everything an Echo can, but it can also be used to control your soundbar and set-top box.
