Currys sale: Survive the heatwave with these discounted electric fans from Dyson, Status and Logik
Worried you might literally combust over the coming days? Take a look at these cool deals at Currys PC World
Was it only last month we were despairing of the wet and the cold? As temperatures across the UK soar – reaching an ungodly 38°C in London tomorrow – every last British citizen seems aghast at the prospect of descending into a gasping, sweating, dehydrated wreck. Which is why Currys PC World, in what might be considered the most unimaginative (but not at all unwelcome) commercial move in retail history, has slashed prices on a wide range of electric fans.
The discount we’re most excited is the Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool Fan heater, a super-slick bladeless combo fan-heater which we awarded four stars in our full review. It’s every bit the quality tech you’d expect from a brand like Dyson, and has had its price reduced from £399 to £349. Of course, that’s still quite some price for an electric fan, but do bear in mind it will keep you toasty in the chillier months.
But if those triple-digit figures are too rich for your blood, Currys has also wisely slapped a set of discounts on cheaper-end electric fans – some of which are down to half-price, some even less. The Status D29 Tower Fan has had its price reduced by 50% (down from £60 to £30), as has the Logik L16PFGM17 16in Pedestal Fan (down from £90 to £45) – but there are better savings to be had from other fans from either range. The pint-sized Status 6in Desk Fan has plummeted in price from £26 to £10, while Logik’s L12DFGM17 12in Desk Fan is down from £70 to £30.
So if you’re determined to keep cool this week, you know where to head right now.
