Sell your stuff NOW! eBay has capped selling fees at £1

For four days, you can sell whatever you want on eBay for just one quid per item

Now is a great time to sell some stuff on eBay. The online retail giant has slashed its selling fees for the weekend, meaning you can now list up to 100 items and only pay £1 in fees for each one that you manage to shift.

Dust off that box of old tat, then, and convert it into cash while the going’s good. Paying a pound to sell something is a significant saving in some cases, especially if you’re offloading pricier items like gadgets or car parts. Normally, fees are also added for having extra options like a ‘Buy it now’ button or a ‘Reserve’ price on your items.

To access these bargain-tastic reduced fees, you just need to click over to the eBay website and ‘activate’ the offer from your account. The one quid cap on selling fees began at 00:00:01 on Friday 19th October, and it will remain in effect until 23:59:59 on Monday 22nd October. This deal is available for private sellers only, and no insertion fees apply (you can find the full terms and conditions here).

Once you’ve made your millions, and saved a few bob along the way, you might be interested to know that eBay is also running an offer code for purchases at the moment. If you turn your attention to buying things instead of selling them, you can use this seasonal offer code to save 10% on purchases over £20: the code is PUMPKINS and you can use it to save a maximum of £50. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out eBay’s curated page of deals.

Interestingly, eBay hasn’t quite synced up these offers perfectly. The 10% discount code will only work until 8pm on Friday 19th October, while the cap on selling fees carries on until the end of Monday. With Christmas looming ever closer, it’s a great time to offload some unwanted items while stocking up on new stuff for others.

Don’t forget to visit the eBay website and activate the fee cap if you’re planning on selling this weekend.
