These Sony noise-cancelling headphones are ludicrously cheap right now
Sony's WH-1000XM3 headphones are cheaper than they've ever been
The confusingly named Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones are currently available for an excellent £218, down from £329. Our favourite pair of Sony noise-cancelling headphones have never reached such astonishingly low prices, so you can bet that we’re a bit excited.
“In the WH-1000XM3”, our reviewer wrote, “Sony has gone straight to the top of the pile with a pair of premium wireless headphones that deliver excellent sound quality, leading noise cancelling and a solid feature set, all housed in a cleverly designed package.”
If that’s not a glowing endorsement, I’m not sure what is, but let’s unpack a little. The WH-1000XM3 are a pair of wireless over-ear headphones that offer active noise cancelling (ANC) technology so you can drown out the outside world. Our reviewer described the sound quality as “wonderfully expansive”, which in plain English means “pretty good”.
With a quoted 30-hour battery life and superfast charging that fills the battery in three hours, we had no issues with the XM3 running out of juice. Our reviewer found them supremely comfortable and stylish enough to warrant a compliment. In fact, we had virtually nothing bad to say about the headphones, which is probably why they received five stars and a Best Buy award.
A word of warning: this deal is only available through e-retailer OnBuy. It’s a lesser-known but well-reviewed site, and it’s currently undercutting even Amazon on price. If you don’t fancy purchasing via OnBuy, however, Amazon is selling the WH-100XM3 for £249, which is still a £81 saving over the RRP.
If you want/need a pair of noise-cancelling headphones for the morning commute or a plane trip abroad, we highly recommend the WH-1000XM3. Just be aware that this offer is unusual and probably won’t last long.
