When is Prime Day 2025?

July's Prime Day has come and gone but Amazon's October event – Prime Big Deal Days – is just around the corner

Amazon’s Prime Day deals event wrapped up earlier this year in July but the shopping giant’s October event, Prime Big Deal Days, also know as Prime Day 2 to some, is just around the corner.

This year, Prime Day 2 will run from midnight Tuesday 8 October to Wednesday 9 October.

Last year, the two-day sales extravaganza saw big reductions on Pixel smartphones, Shark vacuums, top-rated video doorbells, air fryers and more. We’re expecting more of the same for 2024, so be sure to bookmark some of our top pages for the best discounts.

What is Prime Day?

Originally running for 24 hours in nine countries, Prime Day has since expanded to a two-day event spanning 20 countries across the globe. This is the same for its October event – sometimes referred to as Prime Day 2, but more formally known as Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. Deals go live at midnight, with popular products very likely to sell out before the 48-hour period is up. Essentially, it’s like the mad rush of a superstore on Black Friday, but from the comfort and safety of your own home.

For the event, Amazon has sales and reductions on a fleet of top brands, with prices on products from the likes of Shark, Samsung, Tefal, Nespresso, Oral-B, Xiaomi, Hasbro and more to be slashed.

When is Prime Day 2025?

While it’s obviously too early to speculate just yet, we can hazard a guess that Prime Day will return some time in July of 2025. This, sadly, means it’ll be a while before you’ll be able to avail of top Prime Day savings again.

Of course, there will still be plenty of top offers and savings to be had in the retailer’s other sales events, including PrimeBig Deal Deals in October 2024 Amazon’s Spring Sale, which is a week-long deals event that typically takes place in March.

While Amazon’s October event has been confirmed for 8 to 9 October 2024, there’s no confirmation yet as to whether the 2025 Spring Sale will happen. However, we’ll be keeping a very close eye on things and updating this page accordingly, so be sure to bookmark and check back regularly for the latest news.

How long will Prime Day 2025 last?

As illogical as it may sound, Prime Day no longer lasts for just one day. The past three years have all seen Prime Day running for a total of 48 hours.

While this 48-hour time constraint does make it difficult to snag all the deals you want – as you still need to eat and sleep, giving other deal hunters a chance to get that coveted item before you – our comprehensive deals coverage will hopefully give you the leg up you need to get all the discounted items you desire.
