EE broadband price increase: EE is set to hike its prices for broadband packages from June
The EE broadband price increase, which comes into effect from 26 June, will see around £24 being added to the average bill
Telecoms firm EE has announced plans for a broadband price increase set to hit customers next month.
This price increase, which comes into effect from 26 June, will see around £2 being added to the average bill per month, equating to an annual price increase of £24.
Any customer who signed up for EE Broadband before 28 February this year will be affected, even if you’ve been a loyal customer for years. If you signed up after this date, your bill price will remain the same for the time being.
The exact price increase will depend on your contract and will likely vary from customer to customer.
If you’re one of those customers affected by the change, EE will be notifying you in writing. This letter will reveal how your bill will be affected. If you’re unhappy with the change, you can leave your contract penalty-free, granted you let EE know before the 26 June.
To do so, call EE’s customer service line on 0800 079 8586 from your EE landline, or 0207 362 0200 if you’re calling from a non-EE number.
An EE spokesperson said: “We’re contacting some of our home broadband customers to let them know about changes we’re making to the cost of their plan. Many of our customers will see no change at all, and the average increase for plans that are changing is £2 per month.”
