The Apple Watch Series 7 gets ANOTHER Black Friday price slash
This is a bonkers deal on the Apple Watch Series 7
The Apple Watch Series 7 has seen its price repeatedly slashed this Black Friday, with the latest chop bringing it down to a mere £299. Shoppers can grab a sub-£300 Series 7 over at Amazon right now, with similarly priced deals at John Lewis selling quickly out.
The RED version of the Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS, 41mm) is selling for its lowest EVER price on Amazon, beating the previous record by £6. The smartwatch has an average retail price of £357, so this latest offer is £58 cheaper.
The Apple Watch Series 7 almost needs no introduction; we awarded it five stars in our full-length review, citing its bigger display, improved durability and quicker charging (Apple maintains by up to 33%) as big pros. What it lacks in radical changes from previous iterations, it makes up for in thoughtful, practical improvements. After all, if it ain’t broke…
Our one small bugbear with the Series 7 was the modest battery life – a running theme with Apple’s wearables – but for a smartwatch that combines sumptuous design, fantastic performance and oodles of features, that’s a (relatively) minor quibble. Plus, 18 hours (with the always-on display activated) isn’t dire. The GPS and heart rate monitor are both very accurate, and there are health-conscious new tweaks to WatchOS 8 that come in handy: it can detect if you’re riding an e-bike rather than a run-of-the-mill pedal bike, and calculate calories burned accordingly.
The 20% increase in screen size is a massive plus, lending room for a full QWERTY keyboard which comes in handy when replying to messages. It’s not just a practical overhaul either; the slimmed down edges and slightly softened shape give the Series 7 a more sleek, refined look-and-feel.
In fact, we loved the Apple Watch Series 7 so much that we dubbed it “the best smartwatch you can buy.” Any discount on such a standout favourite is likely to turn heads, so act fast to avoid disappointment.
