Black Friday phone deals: Get a FREE smartwatch with your new phone
This Black Friday, you can nab a FREE smartwatch worth £160 when you buy one of these Honor smartphone deals
This Black Friday phone deal represents exceptional value for money. Right now at Affordable Mobiles, the brand-new Honor 50 is enjoying a whole series of unmissable offers; from extra data at no added cost to a free smartwatch worth £160, we’ve never seen such a mouth-watering platter of discounts and deals.
The best part is, you can claim all of the available offers in one go. Pick up the Honor 50 smartphone (which starts at £449 SIM-free) on a contract with Vodafone and you can enjoy one of the following:
- 150GB data for the price of 50GB (£28/mth) – £0 upfront, £672 lifetime cost
- 200GB data for the price of 100GB (£29.25/mth including £18 cashback) – £0 upfront, £702 lifetime cost
- Unlimited data (£32/mth including £24 cashback) – £0 upfront, £768 lifetime cost
On top of one of these contracts, you can also claim an Honor Magic Watch 2 worth £160. That means it’s possible to get double data at no added cost, a little bit of cashback AND a free smartwatch all from a single purchase. Not bad at all.
If you’re not convinced, let’s dwell on the products for a moment. The Honor 50 is Honor’s first smartphone to arrive on British shores since the excellent Honor 20 and Honor View 20 back in 2019. It’s something of a triumphant return for the Chinese manufacturer, which has split from parent company Huawei and forged a path of its own. The biggest news, however, is that the Honor 50 runs Android in all its glory. That’s right: Honor has managed to rekindle a relationship with Google after its notorious breakup with Huawei in 2020.
On paper, the Honor 50 itself has what it takes. Under the hood, you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor backed by 6GB (or 8GB) of RAM and 128GB (or 256GB) of storage. The display is a 6.57in FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080) affair with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a small hole-punch notch. Keeping the lights on is a 4,300mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. Battery life has always been Honor’s strong suit.
Flip the phone over and you’ll find four rear cameras arranged within two unusual-looking circular bumps. The primary snapper is a whopping 108MP, and it’s supported by an 8MP wide-angle lens plus macro and bokeh lenses for artistic shots. That front-facing selfie camera is 32MP, so you’re guaranteed decent selfies.
The Honor Magic Watch 2, meanwhile, earned a solid four stars from us when we reviewed it last year. Our Head of Reviews Jonathan Bray said of the watch: “Battery life is stupendously good for a wearable equipped with an AMOLED display and it looks smart and does a decent job of activity tracking and digital coaching.” This is one attractive, fully featured fitness-tracking wearable – but even if we didn’t like it so much, it’s hard to say no to a freebie worth £160.
So there you have it. Two great products at one discounted price on a contract that offers at least double the data for the same monthly cost. Honestly, what’s not to love?
