Best iPhone 7 cases: Protect your iPhone from bumps and breaks
The iPhone 7 launched some time ago, but it's still worth protecting - here are the best cases on offer
By this point, the iPhone 7 is a bit of a relic – after all, we’re currently enjoying the cutting-edge stylings of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. That said, it remains an excellent handset, the first of Apple’s smartphone range to feature a dual rear camera and the first to lose the headphone jack. Purchasing one now is admittedly a little more challenging, but many second-hand high-street retailers – like CeX or Game – will still stock the handset. Or, of course, you could just find one on Amazon or eBay.
Whether you’re looking to save cash and purchase one today, or you’re simply adept at eking years out of a single smartphone, one thing is certain: you’re going to need a case. With this in mind, we’re here to help guide you through the seemingly unending list of cases to help you pick the best one for you and your budget.

The best iPhone 7 cases to buy
1. Apple iPhone 7 Leather case
Price: £39 | Buy now from John Lewis
An obvious choice, perhaps, but Apple’s official iPhone cases usually score pretty high – both in terms of looks and functionality. It’s subtle and has physical buttons on the side. It’s also nice and slim, so it won’t add too much extra bulk to the handset.
2. Apple iPhone 7 Smart Battery case
Price when reviewed: £93 | Buy now from Amazon
Another great one, if a little expensive, is Apple’s official Smart Battery case. Sure, it adds quite a chunk to the back of your phone, but if you’re wanting to give the iPhone 7’s 13-hour battery life a bit more oomph, this will be the case for you.
3. iPhone 7 tech21 Evo Tactical case
Price when reviewed: £13 | Buy now from Amazon
The tech21 Evo Tactical iPhone 7 case is more discreet than some others. It’s pretty simplistic in its looks, yet is nice and sleek so as not to take up too much room in your pocket. It doesn’t offer as much impact protection as some of the others on this list, and you’ll need to get a screen protector too, but it should serve you well nonetheless.
4. iPhone 7 X-Doria Defense Lux case
Price when reviewed: £10 | Buy now from Amazon
The Defense Lux case isn’t quite as garish as the Gear version, but it still packs a punch when put under pressure. It offers a middle-ground between looks and functionality, so there isn’t that much compromise here. Like its slightly cheaper brother, you’ll benefit from some pretty decent impact protection here.
