AOC myUltraSpeed G2460Pqu review
Good for gaming, with great contrast, but colour accuracy is below average

The G2460Pqu’s contrast levels were much more impressive. We measured a contrast ratio of 800:1, and the amount of detail on display in our high contrast test images was stunning. We could see through the shadows in our night shots and images looked even clearer when we increased the contrast setting to maximum using the onboard menu controls.
This will be welcome news for first-person shooter fans who want to cut through dimly lit environments, but besides the high refresh rate the G2460Pqu is very much an ordinary monitor. There are just five picture modes available, and the other onboard menu settings include contrast, brightness, gamma, dynamic contrast ratio and dynamic colour boost options. There are no black equaliser options like those found on BenQ’s XL2420T or XL2720T monitors and no dedicated gaming options.
Our main concern is the price. The AOC G2460Pqu isn’t much cheaper than the larger and more accurate 144Hz Iiyama Prolite GB2773HS. The G2460Pqu has the advantage of a USB hub, but otherwise both monitors have very similar settings, contrast levels and flexible stands. The AOC is a good buy if you want a small gaming display, but we think the Iiyama is better value overall.
