AOC i2369Vm review

The coverage increased to 92.8 per cent after calibration. That figure’s not a huge improvement, but the extra coverage brought a little more depth and warmth to our solid colour image tests.

Reds and blues weren’t quite as rich as our reference monitor, but greens looked almost identical. Whites were a little grey, but blacks were surprisingly deep, as demonstrated by our low black level reading of 0.19cd/m². This is one of the best black levels we’ve seen from an IPS monitor.

The i2369Vm also has excellent contrast levels. We measured a contrast ratio of 1,279:1, which is above AOC’s claimed figure of 1,000:1. All of our high contrast test images looked fantastic, and all showed very high levels of detail. We were particularly impressed with the amount of shadow detail we saw in some of our night shots. In this respect, it puts some of the more expensive monitors we’ve seen to shame, and its superb viewing angles makes the i2369Vm look an even better buy.

The AOC i2369Vm isn’t the best IPS monitor we’ve seen, but it still produces a great image without calibration, and the i2369Vm’s generous range of inputs round the back adds even more value to this stylish display.
