Booq Squeeze review
A good-looking and tough bag, but it’s very expensive
The Booq Squeeze is a compact laptop bag with a surprising amount of room inside. It’s designed for laptops 13in-15in in size, we managed to fit both our laptop and an iPad with the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard cover in the laptop section of its main compartment. Other sections include a large accessory section that ably carried our laptop’s power adaptor, our coat and other items, such as boxed review products. This is remarkable considering the Squeeze’s size.
The main compartment also has various pockets that are ideal for holding notepads, pens and USB flash drives. These are very tight, though, so getting items in and out of them took more effort than we thought was necessary. The Squeeze also has two external pouches that are perfect for carrying spectacles, sunglasses and earphones. These also have pockets for and pens USB flash drives, which are a little looser than those in the main compartment.
We found the Squeeze very comfortable, even when fully loaded with all the items a tech journalist needs to perform their duty. The Squeeze is very well padded, so it feels comfortable, with no sharp objects such as plugs poking into your back.
The Booq Squeeze is a great-looking bag that was tough enough to survive the rigours of commuting for the three months that we had it. Although we’d recommend this bag, we do think it’s very expensive, and that will understandably put us and many other users off buying it.
