The best Amazon Prime Day TV deals 2024 – LIVE!

Our resident TV expert has picked out the very best Amazon Prime Day deals, based on our in-depth reviews and testing

Amazon Prime Day is finally here and has brought with it some of the best TV deals of the year so far.

The retail giant’s annual deals event got underway at midnight on Monday 15 July and runs until midnight on Wednesday 17 July.

There will be discounts on products across a huge range of categories, including cracking offers on some of the best televisions from big-name manufacturers including Samsung, Hisense, LG and Sony.

It’s important to remember that you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of the offers available. If you’re not already a subscriber, you can sign up here, with a subscription costing £8.99/mth or £95 annually after the free, 30-day trial. In addition to unlocking Prime Day offers, a subscription gives you access to Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Gaming alongside free delivery on millions of products.

I’ll update this page with the best Prime Day TV deals I’ve seen throughout the event to help you snap up a great telly at a bargain price. Where possible, I’ll include offers on televisions we’ve tested and actively recommend based on their performance. But I’ll also highlight deals on models that have hit a new all-time low price or look outstanding value for money based on their specifications. You can read about how Expert Reviews finds and evaluates deals here.

With all that out of the way, let’s get stuck into the best Amazon Prime Day TV deals…

[17/10 18:07] REMINDER: Amazon Prime Day ends at midnight tonight!

That gives you just under six hours to take advantage of the myriad deals we’ve brought you on this page and across the site.

Although the event continues, this is where I’m wrapping things up and heading home (via the pub). You can find my three favourite TV deals of Prime Day here, while our Amazon Prime Day hub is crammed full of great offers across just about every home and technology category you can imagine.

I hope you’ve managed to bag a bargain on something useful – see you again when Black Friday rolls around.

[17/10 17:13] More minor savings on an award-winning Samsung set from last year

Crowned our champion LCD TV of 2023, the Samsung QN95C is a stunning Mini LED option that delivers great pictures, top-notch gaming features and immersive sound courtesy of an in-built 4.2.2-channel audio system. The 55in model cost £2,799 when it launched in early 2023 but can be picked up for a fraction of that until midnight tonight. Amazon has it listed at £839 for Prime Members – £30 cheaper than it’s been before. If you’re not going down the OLED route and are willing to settle for a slightly older model (the QN95D is even better thanks to additional AI capabilities) this is a great Prime Day purchase.

[17/10 16:27] Gaming goodness for less on Prime Day

Need a TV to get the most out of your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X but don’t want to pay the earth? This could be the Prime Day offer for you. Hisense’s E7K Pro, which supports 144Hz refresh rates and a whole host of gaming features, has seen a price cut. The discounts aren’t huge –  the 55in model is £455 down from £479, while the 65in option is £599 down from £649 – but they’re still competitive prices for a telly that Steve Withers described as a capable option “that wins at gaming” in his E7N Pro review.

[17/10 15:35] The 43in Toshiba QF5D drops under £200 for the first time

Those in search of a compact and affordable TV this Prime Day may wish to take a look at the Toshiba QF5D, which is currently going for just £189. It’s not a particularly fancy set but offers decent streaming service support, Dolby Vision and Atmos, and runs Amazon’s Fire TV operating system. Its marketing material also features Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, one of the standout players in England’s doomed quest for Euro 2024 glory, which makes me like this deal that little bit more.

[17/10 14:20] One of Hisense’s new Freely TVs is on offer until midnight

Hisense is one of several manufacturers to incorporate Freely into its 2024 range of 4K TVs and the Hisense A7N is one of the cheapest routes to getting the free live and on-demand TV service in your home. The 43in model launched at £519 a month or so ago but can be nabbed for just £329. It’s a QLED model that runs Hisense’s VIDAA operating system and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos along with a huge range of streaming apps, including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.

I’ve not tested the TV but have been hands-on with Freely and thought pretty highly of it. If you like the sound of it too, then this deal on the A7N is one worth seriously considering.

[17/10 12.48] Ambilight awesomeness for less

While home cinema purists may bemoan it, I’m not ashamed to say that I’m a big fan of Philips’ Ambilight technology. I find it visually engaging and it helps increase my immersion when watching films and shows or gaming. The PUS8109 is one of several 2024 TVs to offer it and one of the most affordable thanks to a Prime Day discount. The 55in model linked below costs £449 after having £100 knocked off its price, while you can pick up the 65in model for £599. If you’re after something smaller, there’s also a £100 saving on the 43in option, which is only £299.

[17/10 11:15] Save on our favourite TV of 2023

The Samsung S95C won TV of the Year at our Product of the Year awards in 2023 and the 55in model is on offer for just £839 in the Prime Day sale. That’s only £60 cheaper than it cost previously but does mark a new all-time low price.

Described by our reviewer Stephen Withers as the “jewel in Samsung QD-OLED crown”, the S95C has been usurped by this year’s S95D but this is a cracking TV and one of the most appealing options I’ve seen during Prime Day so far.

[17/10 10:09] And just like that, the 65in LG G3 is gone

Those last two models being sold at £1,199 were snapped up super-quick. Hopefully, one of you managed to bag one at that price but if not, I’ll be endeavouring to bring you similarly awesome deals as the day progresses!

[17/10 09:57] Good morning and good dealing

With 14 hours of Amazon Prime Day remaining, stock is getting low on some of the event’s most popular products. One such product is the 65in LG C3, which is available at an all-time low price fop £1,199. That’s a £200 saving on the non-Prime Day price and £500 cheaper than the TV cost when we reviewed the 43in model. With just two left in stock, you’ll need to hurry if you want this excellent all-rounder at the best price we’ve ever seen it.

[16/10 18:02] That’s a wrap for today’s Prime Day TV deals coverage

Like the Terminator, I’ll be back tomorrow to continue updating you on the best TV offers to be found on Amazon.

Remember, the event ends at midnight tomorrow (Wednesday), so if you are planning on buying anything, make sure you do so before then! Nothing is ever guaranteed where TV pricing is concerned but with Black Friday still some way off, this may be the cheapest a lot of sets are until we hit October.

[16/10 17:47] Snap up the Samsung Q60D with a generous Prime Day discount

Samsung’s 2024 range has only been available for a few months so it’s slightly surprising that one of its cheaper quantum dot LED options, the Q60D, has seen a Prime Day price cut. There are offers on five of the six available screen sizes (only the 75in option misses out) but I’m highlighting the 50in model here as it’s just the right side of £500, which is how much a lot of people I speak to budget for a new TV. It’s averaged £551 since launch, so this deal price of £498 means you’re saving yourself about £50. We’ve not tested it yet, but its Dual LED quantum dot panel, comprehensive Tizen operating system and Samsung-exclusive features such as Object Tracking Sound Lite and the Gaming Hub should stand it in great stead.

[16/07 17:05] A close relation of one of our favourite budget options from last year has seen a price cut

TCL is extremely competitive where pricing is concerned and all three TVs we tested from the manufacturer last year received awards: the TCL C845, C745 and C645. Sadly, those models aren’t the subject of official Prime Day deals, but the 55in C641, which shares the same specs as the C645 can be picked up for just £311. That’s the cheapest it’s ever been and a great price for a QLED TV of this size. It doesn’t have the UK TV catch-up services built in, which is frustrating, but combine this TV with one of the discounted Fire TV Sticks discussed below and you’ve got yourself a cheap and very cheerful entertainment setup.

[16/07 16:20] Amazon’s Fire TV Sticks are all on offer

A far cheaper Prime Day purchase than a TV, a streaming stick can still significantly improve your telly-watching experience. Amazon makes a range of them catering to various needs and they’ve all been discounted for Prime Day. The entry-level Fire TV Stick Lite is the cheapest of the bunch at £20, the Fire TV Stick costs £23, while the Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max currently cost £33 and £40, respectively.

[16/07 15:09] Get £150 off an ENORMOUS 4K TV from Hisense

Hisense has been at the forefront of pushing extremely large-screen TVs over the past few years and one of its biggest options, the 100in U7K (2023), has received a tasty Prime Day discount. This 4K Mini LED giant can currently be yours for £2,849, £150 cheaper than it was available for before Prime Day got underway.

There are only six left at that price, however, so if you have the cash and want to take your home cinema experience to a much larger level, you’ll want to act soon to avoid missing out.

[16/07 13:59] Sony’s A80L OLED is now cheaper than ever

The 55in Sony A80L secured a four-star rating and a Recommended award when we reviewed it last year and remains an attractive choice for those after a mid-range OLED. SDR and HDR performance are great and benefit enormously from Sony’s first-rate picture processing, while extensive gaming features and a stylish design round out an impressive package.

That package can currently be picked up for an all-time low price of £1,199. That’s an incredible £800 cheaper than the TV cost when we reviewed it and way below its average price of £1,472.

[16/10 12:20] New all-time low price on the five-star 48in LG C3

The LG C3 OLED is a great choice for gamers, particularly those in search of smaller screen sizes. One of the more compact options – the 48in model – has dropped to its lowest-ever price. It’s available for £820, which is £49 cheaper than it’s been in the past and well below its average price of £938. You can read more about what makes this TV so great in our LG C3 review.

[16/07 11:30] Enticing offers on the eminently affordable Amazon Fire TV 4-Series

While we weren’t all that impressed by the HDR performance of the Fire TV 4-Series, it’s an aggressively priced 4K TV capable of delivering accurate images and supports voice controls courtesy of Amazon Alexa.

Thanks to this Prime Day deal, you can grab the 43in model for just £250. That’s a hefty saving on its average price of £339 and the £330 it cost when we awarded it three stars in our Fire TV 4-Series review.

The 50in and 55in screen sizes have also been discounted for Prime Day. The former is priced at £300, down from an average of £406, while the latter can be snapped up for £330. The 55in model has never been cheaper and has an average price of £456 since launch, making it the pick of the trio in my book.

[16/07 10:55] Save on Amazon’s entry-level 1080p Fire TV 2-Series

We’ve not tested or reviewed Amazon’s Fire TV 2-Series but it would be remiss of us not to draw your attention to the best-ever prices on both the 32in and 40in screen sizes. The smaller model has an RRP of £250 and an average price of £211 but can currently be picked up for just £140. The 40in option, meanwhile, is down to £180 from an average price of £257.

As the resolution of both is limited to 1080p, you’re not getting the same level of detail as you would be with the Fire TV 4-Series or Omni QLED but the 2-Series still runs the Fire TV operating system and supports Alexa voice controls. If you’re a fan of Fire TV and after a cheap small-screen television, it’s worth considering at these discounted prices.

[16/07 10:10] Bag the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED for its joint lowest-ever price

It feels appropriate to kick off our Prime Day TV deals coverage with an offer on Amazon’s best television, the Fire TV Omni QLED. We gave the 65in model a five-star rating and Recommended award in our Fire TV Omni QLED review last year, praising its picture accuracy, impressive feature set and competitive price.

That screen size isn’t on offer but the three smaller options are all available at prices that match their all-time lows set in October 2023. The 43in model currently costs just £300 (avg. £419), the 50in option is priced at £380 (avg. £516), while the 55in screen size can be picked up for £430, down from an average price of £596.

A word of caution if you’re considering the 43in model; unlike the larger sizes, which use a Mini LED backlight with full-array local dimming, it uses a direct LED backlight, meaning its contrast control won’t be as impressive.
