That makes it the cheapest it’s ever been on the site and, considering that we thought it was a bit of a bargain at its full price, is an unmissable offer.
We didn’t have time to give the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G a full review, but we were impressed during our hands-on with the handset: as we explain below, it looks gorgeous, boasts a 6.4in Super AMOLED display and the company promises a huge performance boost on its predecessor. We really like the cut of the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G’s jib in our brief hands-on with it, with its reasonable launch price receiving particular praise. Thanks to the tasteful colour palette, gently rounded camera housing and silver edges, it has a premium feel – which is matched by pretty premium internals.
When it launched last year, Samsung promised a whopping 19% boost in single-core processing over its predecessor and up to 50% improvement in graphics processing, thanks to its in-house Exynos 1280 chip. This is backed up by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB via microSD). On the battery side, the firm claims you’ll get up to two days, with 30 minutes of charging providing 50% battery.
Lastly, there’s a quad-camera array on the rear: a main 48MP unit, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, a new multi-frame AI image processing system combines 12 images into one, and there are new bokeh and portrait lighting modes to tinker with as well.
