Best Garmin and Fitbit wearables deals: At a glance

Best Fitbit and Garmin discounts this Amazon Prime Day

1. Garmin Vivoactive 3 – Now £123 (was £143)

It might be a few years old but the Garmin Vivoactive 3 is still a mighty fine GPS watch and, if you can live without music playback, it does the vast majority of what its successors, the Vivoactive 3 Music and Vivoactive 4, can do. At £123, it’s an absolute steal, offering an impressive range of sports modes, stress and sleep tracking plus solid seven-day battery life.

2. Garmin Forerunner 45 – £110 (was £149)

If you’re more interested in running than other sports, the Forerunner 45 might be just the watch for you. It’s newer than the Vivoactive 3 and the only real notable omission compared to the multisport watch is its lack of a swimming mode. Its £110 asking price for Prime Day is also an all-time low and represents very good value indeed.

3. Garmin Fenix 6 – Now £356 (was £471)

It feels like only a few months ago that the Fenix 6 launched at a lofty asking price of £529. Now, however, it’s been slashed to an all-time low of £356, which is exceptionally low for what is still Garmin’s latest line in premium sports watches. There are no full-colour maps or music playback, as you get with the Fenix 6 Pro (pictured) but, otherwise, it’s every bit the same superb wearable our reviewer labelled “the best sports watch money can buy”.

4. Garmin Instinct – Now £169 (was £219)

If you’re an outdoorsy type and £350 still sounds like too much money, the Instinct is a great option. Its rugged design and 14-day battery life should mean it will never let you down when you’re away from home. With features including breadcrumb navigation and a fully-fledged compass and altimeter, you’ll struggle to find anything that can compete with the Instinct at this price.

5. Garmin Vivomove 3 – Now £159 (was £207)

We struggled to get too excited about the Vivomove 3 when it first launched because its excellent predecessor, the Vivomove HR, was so much cheaper and offered most of the same features. Now it’s been cut to just £159 for Prime Day, however, this superb hybrid smartwatch, which does a lot more than its appearance would have you believe, is a very tempting prospect.

6. Fitbit Versa 2 – Now £130 (was £161)

If you don’t need built-in GPS (the Versa 2 piggybacks off your phone instead), the Versa 2 is a mighty fine smartwatch. It’s packed with fitness tracking features, has a lovely OLED display, and lasts up to five days between charges. Oh, and it comes with Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant on board as well. At an all-time low of £130 this is another great deal.

7. Fitbit Inspire HR – Now £60 (was £82)

The Inspire HR is arguably the best Fitbit when it comes to sheer value for money and, now that it’s been cut by £22, it’s even better value. With continuous heart-rate tracking, sleep tracking and VO2 max estimates, provides heaps of insights into your fitness and wellbeing without breaking the bank. Like the Versa 2, it can also piggyback off your phone when you want to track runs and bike rides with more accuracy.

8. Fitbit Inspire – Now £39 (was £50)

If you’re happy to forgo heart-rate tracking and connected GPS, the regular Inspire is available for just £39, putting it firmly in impulse purchase territory. With no ability to accurately track workouts using GPS or estimate your fitness levels, this is primarily a step and sleep tracker, but if that’s all you want it’s still a solid option.
