Best iPhone SE 2 deals: Apple’s budget iPhone is available to buy now
Apple's iPhone SE 2020 is now available – save with our list of the best deals
After all the usual rumblings from the rumour mill, the speculation is over: the iPhone SE 2 is here. In a sudden announcement on 15 April, Apple confirmed that the follow-up to 2016’s hugely popular iPhone SE is official, and it’s available to buy right now. The tech giant has decided to call its latest budget phone the iPhone SE once again, which is rather confusing. We’ve decided to call it the SE 2 instead (or iPhone SE 2020 in some instances), and you can read our full review here.
Of course, the word ‘budget’ is always a bit of a leap for anything that comes off Apple’s production line. Nevertheless, if you’re an avowed iPhone fan who’s looking for a new phone that won’t that won’t put too much of a dent in your bank balance, this is the most obvious choice.
We’ve taken a look through the various contracts being offered by all the major network providers, and put the best of them below.
The best iPhone SE 2 deals
Best for low upfront costs: iD Mobile
You might be able to find contracts without having to pay anything upfront (see below), but the overall cost comes out much higher than the £10 that this iD Mobile contract is asking for. It doesn’t come with a lot of data, but if 500MBs are enough for your internet needs, then you’ll find this contract offers superb value for money.
Data: 500MB | Minutes: 250 | Texts: Unlimited | Contract length: 24 months | Monthly cost: £24 | Upfront cost: £10 | Lifetime cost: £586
Best for loads of data: Vodafone
Yes, a monthly bill of £36 can get you a phone with much higher specs than the SE 2020 – but this contract comes with a seriously hefty 72GB of data. That should keep most people more than happy, as should that zero upfront cost, too.
Data: 72GB | Minutes: Unlimited | Texts: Unlimited | Contract length: 24 months | Monthly cost: £36 | Upfront cost: £0 | Lifetime cost: £840
Best for low monthly costs: Mobiles.co.uk
Finally, an iPhone contract with a monthly bill in the teens. It only gets you 1GB of data, and you’ll have to cough up £125 upfront, but the overall cost of £581 is still impressive.
Data: 1GB | Minutes: Unlimited | Texts: Unlimited | Contract length: 24 months | Monthly cost: £19 | Upfront cost: £125 | Lifetime cost: £581
