How to watch Frozen 2 for free: Stream the superhit sequel for free in the UK
Frozen 2 is available on three platforms in the UK, and we'll show you how to watch it for free
Frozen has been available on Disney Plus ever since the streaming service launched; Frozen 2, meanwhile, arrived on Disney Plus in the US earlier this year.
UK viewers who have waited patiently thus far will be pleased to know that Frozen 2 is now available to stream on Disney Plus UK, Sky Cinema and Now TV Sky Cinema Pass. The last option comes with a seven-day free trial, which means that you can watch Frozen 2 without paying a penny.
Ask any child to name their favourite films and you’ll invariably find that Disney’s Frozen and Frozen 2 make the cut. The animated smash hit from 2013 and its 2019 sequel have become family staples thanks to a winning combination of stellar voice acting, gorgeous animation and songs that stick around inside your head for months.
Continuing from where its hugely popular 2013 prequel left off, Frozen 2 sees returning characters — Princesses Elsa and Anna, along with Kristoff and trusted sidekick, Olaf — travel to an ancient land, where Elsa must discover the origin of her powers to save her kingdom.
Even though you may not recognise them instantly, the characters in Frozen 2 are voiced by various Hollywood actors, including Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Sterling K Brown (Mattias), Evan Rachel Wood (Iduna, Elsa and Anna’s mother) and Alfred Molina (her husband).
One of the main reasons that Frozen gained instant worldwide popularity was because of its soundtrack, with hit songs like “Let It Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” Frozen 2 continues in a similar vein with the catchy song “Into The Unknown”, whose intro opening chant provides the musical backdrop for most of the film. In fact, the film became the first soundtrack of an animated film to hit number one since its prequel.
Given the worldwide success of Frozen, it was no surprise that Frozen 2 had the highest all-time worldwide opening for an animated film. It currently sits ahead of Frozen as the second-highest-grossing animated film of all time, just behind The Lion King remake, which also released last year.

The US version of Disney Plus may have got the film a few months earlier, but UK viewers can now watch Elsa, Anna and their friends in glorious 4K on the new streaming service. We gave Disney Plus UK a glowing five-star review saying it was the best streaming service if you’re into Disney, Marvel and Star Wars films. How to watch Frozen 2 abroad: use a good VPN service
With most of the world still in lockdown, chances are that you won’t be flying to another country anytime soon, but you’re likely to be stuck somewhere until everything settles down. If you’re based in a country that has Disney Plus without Frozen 2, for example, then your best option to access the service is to use a good VPN service, connect to a UK or US server, then go to the Disney Plus website and log into your account as usual.
We recommend that everyone use a VPN because apart from letting you access geo-blocked services like Disney Plus abroad, it also stops your ISP from seeing what you do online. You do know that your ISP can do that, right? It’s also an invaluable tool when browsing on public Wi-Fi networks and doing online banking.

ExpressVPN: Of all the VPN services we tested, ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure. You can use it on five devices simultaneously, there’s 24/7 customer support in case you ever need help with anything and the service has a 30-day moneyback guarantee. Our readers get 49% off when they select the one-year plan.
NordVPN: Our second-favourite VPN is NordVPN. It shares many of the same characteristics as ExpressVPN, including multiple device usage and 24/7 customer support. The service has a nice graphical interface to let you choose which country you want to browse from. In our tests, browsing speeds were not as fast as ExpressVPN, but good enough to watch 4K content, provided you have a fast internet connection.
