How to watch the EFL Championship: Stream three live matches on Sky Sports this week

Our guide to watching the 2023/24 EFL Championship season live

Sky Sports subscribers can watch three live EFL Championship games this week.

Friday 19 January takes us to the Stadium of Light as promotion hopefuls Sunderland host an out-of-form Hull City. The Black Cats will be looking to bounce back after their 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town and could climb into the top six with a win. Hull City, on the other hand, have picked up only three points from a possible fifteen – losing four out of their last five. Action gets underway at 8pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

Saturday 20 January sees Swansea City take on a high-flying Southampton side at the Swansea.com Stadium. The Saints will be looking to continue their incredible run of form as they set their sights on the automatic promotion spots, with their previous 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday extending their unbeaten run in the league to 19 games. The Swans, however, currently sit in 15th and come into the game following a 2-2 draw with Birmingham City. You can catch it live at 12.30pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

On Sunday 21 January, Leeds United face Preston North End at Elland Road. Promotion hopefuls Leeds come into the game seven points adrift of 2nd-place Ipswich following a 3-0 victory over Cardiff, while Preston’s drop in form has them fall to 12th, just two points outside the top six. Kick-off gets underway at 12pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

Sky Sports has exclusive rights to live Championship football in the UK and will show over 100 games during the 2023/24 campaign. The easiest way to access its channels is via a Now Sky Sports membership, which costs £35/mth or £12 for a day pass, which also includes access to the mobile app for a month.
