The Oculus Go is going cheap this Prime Day
Oculus’ hassle-free headset is cheaper than ever on Amazon right now
Amazon has knocked almost £50 off the price of the Oculus Go. If virtual reality (VR) sounds scary and complicated, or you’re put off by the price, the Go might be the headset to change your mind; there are no cables, no awkward setup procedures and certainly no thousand-pound gaming computers involved.

In a nutshell, the Oculus Go is a wireless VR headset designed for people who don’t like VR headsets. At £200, it was already one of the cheapest devices ever made, but courtesy of a small event called Prime Day, you can now have one for a respectable £154.
Do keep in mind that you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership to access the deal; you can have one for a discount price at the moment, as it happens, but you’ll need to hurry.
The Oculus Go runs on a Snapdragon 821 processor and weighs 467g, making it one of the lightest headsets around. You’ll be peering into the same 2,560 x 1,440 WQHD display that you’ll find inside the Go’s brand-new £400 sibling, the Oculus Rift S. In practical terms, that means an image that’s clear enough to browse the web, watch movies or enjoy compatible gaming experiences.

There’s plenty of those to enjoy, too: the Go has access to the vast library of games and apps hosted by the Oculus Store. With no cables or compatible PCs required, you really can just whack the Go on in bed and binge-watch Stranger Things in a blissful virtual bubble.
If you’re still not convinced, you can have a read of our full Oculus Go review here. The deal lasts the duration of Prime Day (15 to 16 July), however, so if you’ve been looking to dip your toe in the water of virtual reality, you better get a move on.
