Prime Day: The Motorola Moto G6 is the smartphone bargain of Amazon’s sale
£39 cheaper than usual on Prime Day
The Moto G6 is one of the best cheap to mid-range smartphones we’ve ever seen. It looks great and packs a surprising punch, despite its low RRP.
Already a bargain, Amazon has reduced it further as part of its annual Prime Day festivities – the time of year when the company slashes prices on various products for its Prime subscribers. Instead of the usual £239, you can get a Moto G6 for £199.99, making a great deal even better.
To make a good bargain even better, this is the Amazon-exclusive dual-SIM version, which also benefits from double the storage of the regular Moto G6. Indeed, it’s actually now cheaper than the single-SIM version, which is still listed at £119.99.
Do you actually want a Moto G6? Absolutely: simply, you’re not going to find a better smartphone in this price bracket. As Jon wrote in his review: “The quality of images the camera can produce is amazing, the design is fabulous, and the software is chock full of useful extras, while still retaining the look of stock Android.” In short, he said: “With the Moto G6, Motorola is well and truly back on form.”
The only reason you might want to hold off? The Moto G6 Plus is an all-round better phone – especially in the camera department. But these improvements come at a price, and that price is £40 more than the normal rate and £60 more than the discounted figure.
It’s up to you whether it’s worth paying the extra, but whichever phone you end up with, you’re unlikely to be disappointed.
